Stoops-usa-today On today's SEC spring football teleconference, Mark Stoops announced Kentucky will join in on one of the hottest trends in college football recruiting: satellite camps. Stoops confirmed UK will hold several camps in the state of Florida, a couple in Ohio, and possibly in Georgia. "We will take part, but we won't overdo it," Stoops told reporters listening in on the call. "We still want players to get on campus." The NCAA Board of Governors voted last week to remove the ban on satellite camps. The board's new ruling overturned the early April decision to prohibit coaches from working camps outside a 50-mile radius from their school. The camps became a big deal when Big Ten schools, namely Michigan, conducted camps in SEC country. Even with the new ruling, Stoops said Kentucky's recruiting footprint will not change all that much.
