"With Drew, it’s a touch too early for that right now. I think we’re in that period that as you mentioned, we’ll evaluate him again. We evaluate him everyday, we look at him and check on him and work with him everyday and he's in there getting rehab, so we'll see how it goes in the next week or two. I think he is getting better, but we have been cautious with him and hopefully we can continue to do that and hopefully he'll feel stronger and strong. You know, it's still -- there hasn't been anything that's changed, let's put it that way. He's still week to week. We have no plans of playing him here in the Mississippi State game. After that, we'll evaluate it week to week." In other injury news, Stoops said he expects Matt Elam back for the Mississippi State game after he sat out the Vandy game. "We do expect him to be back, I would expect him to be back by Mississippi State game if he doesn’t have any setbacks and it looks like that's going to happen, or it has to this point. He’s progressing and getting better and better, so we'll see how he moves forward here in the next week and a half." Yesterday, Stoops said outside linebackers Kobie Walker and De’Niro Laster will be out for a while with injury and Stephen Johnson was hindered by a wrist injury vs. Vanderbilt. Today, Stoops stressed how important this bye week will be in terms of the team's various ailments. "I'm excited about the opportunity to get some of our players healed up," Stoops said. "I think the bye week comes at a good time for us. Fortunate to have this bye week come off a good victory vs. Vanderbilt and again, give us an opportunity to heal up our team."
