The first edition of The Mark Stoops Show didn't exclusively bring negativity. A few callers affirmed their commitment to Stoops and his program, covering most of the negativity that otherwise filled the airwaves. However, Stoops still had to address ugly truths.
"I think there's some guys who hit the panic button. It's inexcusable." He said, "I thought we were past that."
Many things went right -- the play of Drew Barker and the young receivers -- but nothing frustrated Stoops more than seeing his team resort to going down that familiar rough road. "We addressed that directly today," Stoops said.
