CalStealJoy Good morning and welcome to the Sweet 16 Wildcat fans. Your No. 1 Kentucky Wildcats defeated Cincinnati in what was a somewhat ugly game due to the physical nature of the Bearcats. They move onto Cleveland where they will play the winner of the West Virginia/Maryland game on Thursday. Here are some links to help you get through the week.... - There's no real proof, but we're all pretty sure Willie Cauley-Stein killed a guy during the game with a vicious dunk. Metz Camfield at talks about how that play pushed the Wildcats to the Sweet 16. - Anyone who watched the game noticed the physical nature in which the Bearcats played. That was due in large part to Octavius Ellis who had no problem playing the role of villain yesterday. After getting ejected in Cincinnati's first game for throwing an elbow, Ellis didn't back down from Kentucky says Brian Bennett of ESPN. - Our good friend Jerry Tipton asks yet another hard hitting question that only Jerry Tipton can ask. Does God care about Kentucky basketball? That's why he gets the big bucks, folks. - We won't be able to watch the team play for a couple of days, but has a great video of the guys talking about the game. One of the more impressive comments came from Devin Booker when asked about Willie Cauley-Stein's dunk said he wasn't even surprised anymore. Devin, you should still be surprised when that happens. - Cincinnati has played without its head coach Mick Cronin for the majority of the season. Cronin, who has been sidelined since December 20 for medical reasons still watches the game and talked to Tom Groeschen of the Cincinnati Enquirer. Cronin said if Cincinnati would have finished at the rim better they would have won. - One of the best, if not the best part of this team is the fact they are willing to share the spotlight. One of the main people who shows this is Tyler Ulis, who has no problem sharing the floor with point guard Andrew Harrison. Jonathan Litner of the Courier-Journal talks about the relationship between the two point guards. @uklefty22
