Sunday Morning Wake Up With A Win

by:Bobby Reagan09/18/16
11337746_g Look, at this point it doesn't have to be pretty. A win is a win and that's exactly what happened yesterday. The offense completely balled out thanks to names we've heard of. Benny Snell put his name in the record book with four touchdowns on 17 touches and made fans remember that Stoops can recruit. The other guy was CJ Conrad, the tight end who I always figured was going to be the biggest name in this offense. He finally became that guy as he had 133 yards and 3 touchdowns. Yeah, get him the ball. Again, it wasn't pretty, but it's a win. Then of course there's backup quarterback Stephen Johnson who had quite the performance as well. Johnson came in for the injured Drew Barker and finished the game 17-22 for 310 yards, 3 touchdowns with no interceptions. He also ran for 51 yards on 10 carries. With Johnson in at quarterback, Kentucky put up 692 yards of total offense. Now, let's move on to the rest of the Sunday news. Recruits on Campus The five-star forward (I refuse to call him a power forward because positionless basketball, duh) was on campus. PJ Washington, who hails from Dallas is one of the top recruits for Calipari. On top of that so was Tremont Waters, a guard. Good thing the football team won, right? Former Cats in Action [caption id="" align="alignnone" width="531"] (Image via Mark Hoffman | jsonline.com)[/caption] Week two of NFL means we have former Cats in action. Most notable, Randall Cobb takes on the Vikings on Sunday Night football. There will be a full breakdown of the schedule later today. Continue to check KSR for your updates on recruits, former Cats, and of course more from last night's 62-42 win over New Mexico State.
