Kentucky plays Wichita State at 2:40pm on CBS. By now I'm sure you've probably seen all the trash the Shockers are talking towards Kentucky lately. Instead of watching that, let's all reminisce on the last time we played Wichita State on a Sunday in the tournament. Kentucky is favored by 4 points. What's a Shocker? The Kentucky Basketball team doesn't have any clue, and neither do I but at least I know it's not a bug. Our friends at Kentucky Wildcats Insider shared this video asking the team "What is a shocker" and the answers are pretty priceless. Watch the video here. Eight teams are already in the Sweet 16. The other 16 will play today for their chances. Out of the games today the most notable (besides UK) are:
  • 7 Michigan vs 2 Louisville - 12:10 on CBS
  • 9 Michigan State vs 1 Kansas - 5:15 on CBS
  • 7 South Carolina vs 2 Duke - 8:40 on TNT
Can we all agree we're cheering for Michigan today? Plane crashes, practice uniforms, and a chance to knock Louisville out? What other reasons do you need? Go Wolverines! Here's what the bracket looks like now Screen Shot 2017-03-19 at 9.28.27 AM Yours busted? Mine is. Wisconsin pulled off a HUGE upset yesterday. Don't worry Villanova, we know how you feel. For the second time in the past three tournaments, Wisconsin knocked out the overall 1 seed. They beat Nova yesterday 65-62. Cue the crying flute girl from two years ago. We've got a new sports meme and it's great. Speaking of memes...yesterday the what could've been Cinderella team, Northwestern lost to Gonzaga in a game with pretty controversial officiating (sounds like the SEC all season huh?). As someone who's adopted Northwestern as my second favorite team, mainly because I love Seinfeld, it was heartbreaking to watch. But, I wasn't nearly as upset as this kid. url The internet has named him "crying Northwestern kid" and he's quickly become the face of reaction tweets everywhere. Honestly though, I can relate. I've seen adult Kentucky fans react worse to better situations. We've all been crying Northwestern kid at one point. UK Hoops ALSO plays today If you want to pregame the Men's game with more Kentucky basketball, get to Memorial at noon today. The four seeded wildcats take on fifth seeded Ohio State this afternoon. If this game is anything like Friday's nail biter victory, it should be a good one. If you can't be there, I've got you covered. I'll be bringing you updates via Twitter and a post-game story on this here site a little later today. Don't forget about High school basketball If you're looking for even MORE Kentucky basketball to watch today - we've also got the KHSAA boys' finals. It's Cooper vs Bowling Green today at 2pm in Rupp and both are playing for a first time championship. We'll have coverage of that coming up for you too. It's the last day of the greatest four days in sports Today is the last day of the four day basketball binge period. After the last game ends tonight, we'll have to wait a whopping 4 days until March Madness is back on our TVs. I could already use a break from the Charles Barkley and Samuel L. Jackson "steaks on a plane" commercial but I'm not ready for the basketball to go. So, savor today my friends, this weekend only comes but once a year.
