News came out just a few hours ago that the Philadelphia Eagles will sign former Florida Gator Tim Tebow as their fourth QB tomorrow morning. According to Yahoo, Tebow will sign a one-year deal with the Eagles. Since being cut by the Pats at the end of training camp back in 2013, Tebow has headlined the SEC Network's SEC Nation, but apparently has a contract that allows him to chase his dreams in the NFL. Since his departure from the league in 2013, Tebow has been working with QB coach Tom House on his accuracy and mechanics. The move to Philly will reunite Tim with fellow former Jet Mark Sanchez, who he played behind in 2012. Tebow hasn't thrown a TD pass since 2011 in a playoff victory with the Denver Broncos. We wish him the best of luck as he re-enters the league.   Coach Cal and Kenny Payne met with Cheick Diallo today. After speaking with Bill Self and Kansas yesterday, Cheick Diallo hosted Coach Cal and Kenny Payne this evening for an in-home visit. Apparently, the visit went well. Evan Williams said on Twitter this afternoon that Kentucky has gained some momentum with Diallo and it is now between St. John's and the Cats with the momentum waning for Kansas. Also worth noting, on twitter today, Paul Biancardi compared him to legendary Cardinal killer Kenneth Faried. I really like that idea. Fingers crossed? Michael Mulder is coming to UK for a visit. Last night we learned that JUCO shooting guard Mychal Mulder received an offer from Coach Cal, now he will visit Kentucky this coming weekend. Last season with the VU Trailblazers, Mulder shot 44.7% from the arc and went 80% from the FT line, averaging 15.7 ppg and 6.9 rpg. I've heard a few rumblings on twitter that he is heavily leaning towards UK, so I guess we shall see. Kentucky had an in-home visit with Harry Giles, the #1 player in the 2016 class. The number one player in the class of 2016 got a visit from Coach Cal and the Cats today. Giles is a 6'10", 210 lb Power Forward out of High Point, NC. Besides Kentucky, he also has offers from Duke, UNC, Wake Forest, and Kansas. Brandon Ingram to stay at home? I told you last night that Kentucky met with five-star wing Brandon Ingram recently, now it is floating around that it is likely that Ingram will stay home and play for Duke or North Carolina. Matt said on twitter that he thinks it will be UK or Duke, so we will see. The 6'8" small forward is the top prospect out of North Carolina and the third best in the nation at his position. Evan Daniels of scout.com reported that Ingram will announce his decision next Monday, April 27th. YAHTZEE! UK football got a huge get this evening in three star QB Gunnar Hoak. Hoak, a 6'4" 190 lb pro-style QB threw for 2,584 yards and 20 TDs with only three interceptions this past year and completed 65% of his passes. He's currently ranked as the 53rd best pro-style QB in the nation by 247 Sports. Do the Packers want Za'Darius? It kind of looks like it. The Green Bay Packers tweeted out a video on their website about Big Z's rise to fame. Right now, he is projected to go in the 3rd or 4th round, but if GB doesn't get him, the Panthers are interested as well. Please get him, Packers. Cobb, Masthay, and Z in Green Bay together sounds really fun. Golden State Fears the Brow Can't say I blame them. USA Today Sports' Sam Amick said that Steve Kerr has his hands full keeping his frontline from antagonizing Anthony Davis:
[...] Davis’ 20-point fourth quarter was enough to remind Kerr & Co. that he’s not the kind of talent you want to antagonize. Davis, who was contained by Warriors forward Draymond Green through three quarters (15 points on 6-of-13 shooting and one rebound) of his playoff debut as the Warriors led by as many 25 points, woke up in the kind of way that the Warriors simply don’t want to see.
A little NBA Playoff update The Cavs took down James Young's Celtics earlier today, 113-100. Tomorrow's games will feature Nazr Mohammed and the Bulls vs. the Bucks at 8 and Anthony Davis' Pelicans vs. Golden State at 10:30. You better fear the Brow, Warriors. He's coming for you.
