Heart disease is the nation’s #1 killer. It takes a life every 38 seconds of every single day. It doesn’t discriminate. And UK dance alum Regan Judd, a good friend of ours, found that out the hard way when she was affected two years ago. Regan was experiencing chest pains after a routine dance practice during her junior year, so she went to UK's Chandler Emergency Department for what she thought would be a simple diagnosis. But not long after that, she underwent open heart surgery because of an unknown heart condition she had been living with for 19 years. Today, Regan is healthy and doing all she can to support the AHA. She's asked that you join her at Tin Roof in Lexington this Wednesday to raise money for the foundation that saved her life. Darius Miller will be in the house with some special edition t-shirts and proceeds from the shirts and Tin Roof's sales will go to the American Heart Association. Tin Roof is also offering $5 quesadillas (sooooo good) from 7:00 to 10:30 and Jordan English will be providing the music from 8:30 to 10:00. If you can’t make it to Tin Roof on Wednesday, please make a donation to http://heartwalk.kintera.org/lexingtonky/reganjudd to support Regan and others affected by heart disease. Donations of any size will be greatly appreciated. You can learn more about Regan's story in this ESPNU special:
