As expected, Sydney McLaughlin is one of the fastest runners in America.
The Kentucky track team's freshman phenom is off to a fast start in the indoor season. At today's McCravy Memorial Track and Field Meet, she ran 400m in 51.44. The time leads the NCAA and set a UK school and freshman record.
Sydney's performance was one of many that helped the Kentucky women win the meet. Jasmine Camacho-Quinn won the 200m hurdle, the 60m hurdle and the 200m.
