Tayshaun Prince reportedly a candidate for Detroit Pistons Assistant GM job

The Detroit Pistons are about to make some big front office hires, and Tayshaun Prince is reportedly in the running for one of the positions.

According to Omari Sankofa II of the Detroit Free Press, the Pistons may hire both a general manager and an assistant general manager, and Prince is a strong candidate for the latter. The former Cat has been in the Memphis Grizzlies’ front office since 2017 and spent 12 seasons with the Pistons, who drafted him in 2002. Last year, he was promoted to vice president of basketball affairs and is on track to one day become a general manager, so this position could be perfect for him.

Sankofa says the Pistons have yet to reach out to the Grizzlies for permission to interview Prince, but it could be a matter of time. If he gets the job, can we reunite him with his No. 1 fan?
