Two things happened today that I havent seen maybe ever:
1. I found myself
pulling for Tennessee and literally jumped in the air when they hit a shot. A walk-on burying a shot as the shot clock goes off is one of the cooler things I have seen in college basketball's regular season. I am not the biggest Pearly guy in the world (but I dont hate him as some) but I have to say that his obvious emotion at the end was great.
2. A
Tennessee team showed heart in a close game and let effort trump bravado. Maybe losing four players is what Bruce Pearl needed to instill that key ingredient to any great team.
For one night only, I will sing Rocky Top. Great game.
