Tennessee Prediction and Game Thread

by:Matt Jones03/02/08
orangecar-redneck.jpg It is throwback time as the Cats come into Knoxville for a Sunday at noon game (harkens back to the old Syracuse series with the Cats) and the game is for first place in the SEC. Much of the enthusiasm for this game has been dampened a bit thanks to the loss of Patrick Patterson, and the Vols present a number of matchup problems for the Cats. On the perimeter, the Cats can equal both the scoring prowess and the defense of the Vols, but if Tennessee can establish an inside game (which they couldnt in Lexington), it could be a long day for the good guys from Lexington. The combination of Wayne Chism, a great final UK performance by Lofton and the crowd going wild makes this one a tough game for the Cats. I do think however they give a noble effort, before falling 79-66. Be ready at noon and see how the Cats respond to the injury and adversity in Knoxvegas....
