Kentucky freshman guard Terrence Clarke is unlikely to suit up against the Vanderbilt Commodores Tuesday evening. After missing the team's victory in Starkville over Mississippi State this weekend with an ankle injury, UK head coach John Calipari says Clarke is also expected to miss the team's SEC home-opener. "We're trying to get the answer on how bad it is. He's been in pain," Calipari said during his call-in radio show Monday evening. "He has not practiced, and my guess is he will not play tomorrow." Calipari, who said last week that Clarke played against Louisville at about "70 percent," added that the team can't compete and fight the way they need to as a collective unit if one player isn't healthy. "The thing you have to have is, everybody's got to be healthy playing," he added. "I don't want to do that to a young person, and when you're all fighting like crazy, it's hard when one guy doesn't have the same ability to do that just based on injury." In seven games this season, Clarke is averaging 10.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.9 assists in 31.3 minutes per contest. Kentucky will take on Vanderbilt tomorrow night at 7 p.m. ET on the SEC Network.
