Terrence Jones Driven By Final Four Loss

North Carolina Kentucky Basketball This is what a second year and focus can get you Here's a pretty good article from Slam that goes into what perspective shift of Terrence Jones between last season and this year.  Last year, we saw the semi-immature Jones display incredible talent and athleticism, only to leave us wanting more.  All freshman go through a growing process, but when you have elite abilities like TJ, you only get so long to grow before you're best decision is to head off to the NBA. We've seen the focus and desire through Jones' early play.  He's determined, he's a leader, and he's going to do whatever it takes to win.  Take a look at some quotes he dropped in this piece...
“I tried to make my all-around game better by working on every little thing to improve it,” Jones said. “Spending so much time in the gym helped my mental aspect by going harder and the little things more serious.” “I’ve got to play my role to the best of my ability and do my best to be one of the leaders,” Jones said. “I came back because I want to try and win a National Championship,” Jones said. “With the returning guys we have and the freshmen coming in, I believe we have a chance to do it.”
This isn't anything we didn't know.  But there is a little factoid revealed that I never knew - Damon Stoudamire is Jones' cousin.  I feel like this is something we would have heard about by now.  Or maybe I live under a rock.  Stoudamire at Memphis now, working under Pastner (who can't seem to turn that talented bunch into a true team).  TJ said this about Damon...
“I seek his advice all the time,” Jones said. “He’s one of the people I look up to the most, and he’s one I go to for advice because he’s already been through everything that I am going through or trying to go through as a basketball player.”
