Terrence Jones named G-League Player of the Week

What’s up with Terrence Jones these days? The former Cat was named G-League Player of the Week for his performances last week for the Erie Bayhawks.

On Wednesday, the real T. Jones came off the bench to record a triple double with 20 points, a career-high 14 assists, and a team-high 11 rebounds. On Saturday, he had a game-high 29 points, eight rebounds, five assists, a steal, and a block. He’s the only G-League player averaging at least 20 points, eight rebounds, and five assists this season.

Fellow former Cats Isaac Humphries and Alex Poythress also play for the Erie Bayhawks, and the three met up with John Calipari’s college teammate Jeff Szumigale last week:
