The Vols have hired a mere child to become their next football coach.
Lane Kiffin, all 33 years of him, will be named Vol coach on Monday according to a number of sources. Kiffin is rumored to be bringing with him Ed Orgeron to coach defense and be the recruiting coordinator, an important move for a program that must recruit nationally to succeed. Kiffin will be the youngest head coach in SEC history and will bring his supposed X and O genius to Knoxville and attempt to hang with the big boys. I like this hire a lot, but it is a risk. Take a guy who has never been a head coach in college and give him the key to one of the biggest Rolls Royces in the game. We shall see how it ends up.
