With less than a week until National Signing Day, there’s a lot of information flying around Kentucky’s highest-ranked remaining target, Chris Oats.

Yesterday a recruiting analyst told Ben Roberts it looked like Oats was going to commit to Ohio State after taking an official visit this weekend.  Today that same analyst has flipped his Crystal Ball pick from Ohio State to Kentucky. Oats also confirmed he will not take an official visit to Columbus. Now picks are flooding in for “Oats to Kentucky.”

The late Crystal Ball changes confirm what sources have told KSR: Kentucky has been in an excellent position with Oats since his official visit in December.

A four-star linebacker from Mike Edwards’ alma mater, Cincinnati Winton Woods, Oats’ strength is his versatility.  The 6’4″ 220-pund athlete can put on weight and play any of the four linebacker positions.  If he signs with Kentucky on Wednesday he will be the third-highest ranked recruit in the Cats’ 2018 recruiting class.

We’ll find out if the Crystal Ball predictions are true in just six days.
