According to the Herald-Leader, Gillispie has filed a lawsuit against the UKAA. The lawsuit accuses the Athletics Association of breach of contract and fraud. Filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas, the lawsuit states that Gillispie is seeking $6 million, plus punitive damages & cost of attorneys fees.
Matt, your favorite Lawdog and mine, will take a Texas-sized gander at the lawsuit ASAP. Hopefully he will be able to determine if UKAA has a case to claim that Gillispie lacked the toughness necessary to fulfill his contract.
