The Kid Who Broke Nerlens' Fall Wants Afternoon Notes and Podcast

He's the kid Nerlens Noel landed on at the Big Blue Madness Campout when Nerlens went up to dunk on a couple of young opponents. Without him, Kentucky's star player would've hit the hard surface of the blue courts even harder. He also wants afternoon notes and today's podcast. --- Good news, NFL fans!!! The refs are coming back!!!! The NFL and the referees' union are close to agreeing on a deal that could have Ed Hochuli and friends back on the field by this Sunday. Multiple outlets, including ESPN and the NY Times, are reporting that "an agreement in principle is at hand." It's finally time to send these replacements back to high school. --- John Calipari did an interview with 106.7 The Fan in D.C. earlier today and, according to the show's producer, Cal told Mike Wise that he wouldn't consider the NBA again. The show isn't very reliable with its podcasts -- the last available download is from Sept. 7 -- but we'll let you know if Cal's interview hits the internet. --- Eric Lindsey over at CoachCal.com has a good read on Jarrod Polson and his new confidence.
