On this day, we celebrate the birthday of none other than Kentucky's finest, El Presidente, Boss Man,
the one, the only - Matt Jones. Matt is probably spending this day listening to Reba McEntire, drinking diet coke, and yelling at people. But he should be able to do whatever he wants!
It's his birthday, damn it!
In all seriousness, Happy Birthday Matt.
Kentucky Sports Radio has become a phenomenon - not only in the state of Kentucky - but country-wide. The fact that a little blog site created by a Transy student for hobby-sake, gained popularity with the Jai Lucas/Patrick Patterson recruitment, can turn into the
number one independent sports podcast in the country should be a lesson and inspiration to us all.
Here's to you, Matt. Here's to your soft spot for Wendy's Call of the Day being awarded to an elderly person or kid. Here's to your diligence and efforts in providing the people of Kentucky their only source to UofL scandals. Here's to your 'Uncle Matt' advice. Here's to your avoidance of children in restaurants and public bathrooms.
What would Kentucky be like without Matt Jones and KSR? It's a weird thing to think about now. Thank goodness we will never have to know.
Happy Birthday, Matt!
It's Football Time in the Bluuuegraaaass.
Well, not yet. But this time next week, we will be waking up (to the smell of victory) with breakdowns from Freddie, Nick, and the guys after
Kentucky faces Shannon Dawson and Southern Miss in Week 1 of College Football season.
Over here at KSR, Freddie has been working tirelessly to provide you with scouting reports of the Southern Miss offense and defense. Take the time to check them out
here and
here.
If you missed Coach Stoops' appearance on the show Friday, he previewed
Saturday's matchup with Southern Miss and detailed Drew Barker's improvements and expectations.

Final day of Coach Cal's Fantasy Camp
https://twitter.com/UKCoachCalipari/status/769525910575968256
This is a great video from camp yesterday where Cris Carter,
decked out in UK gear, spouted his trademark line "C'mon Man". I can die happy.
It's been a busy few days at the Joe Craft Center with Celebrity sightings, intense sideline action from Coach Barbee and Robic, and plenty of basketball being played.
Jack Pilgrim has been providing great analysis of some
Fantasy Camp events. Yesterday he gave us a rundown from a super secret UK basketball scrimmage
(well kind of).
Two of our favorite former Cats arrived at the Craft Center as well.
