After Nike puked checkerboard all over the new uniforms, many worried the changes to the Rupp Arena court would be gruesome. Worry no more, Big Blue Nation.
The checkerboard completely encompasses the court, but it is not obnoxious, using darker and lighter shades of blue to create the checkerboard combination.
Of all the times UK has used checkerboard, this is the best.
Some people will never be happy with the new logos. At this point, we have to get used to the Crooked K and the Mating Birds. There is one addition everyone will love: the new scoreboard. Big Bertha should have been gone years ago to make way for this lovely new centerpiece.
