Get directions to all these places and more, including our newest Florence location, The Kentucky Shop, located off I-75/I-71 just south of Florence Mall. ––––––––––––— Aloha!  (That means hello in Hawaii.)  How 'bout some news and views?... -- The basketball team made it to Maui and seem to be having a blast in the Aloha State.  The team spent their Sunday doing tourist things - like snorkeling, parasailing, and buying refrigerator magnets - and Monday evening they will compete in a basketball match against those Sooner boys from Oklahoma.  Matt has a recap from all of his Hawaiian encounters in the post below and I imagine it'll be the last time we hear from him as he is likely suffering from third-degree burns from the sun.  As far as the basketball part of the trip goes, Oklahoma is pretty terrible and Kentucky should get the win.  The Sooners only return three players from last year's 13-18 team, including Cade Davis who is the only player in all of basketball to wear wristbands on his actual wrist.  Expect a big game out of Terrence Jones and a lot of Hawaiian shirts in the crowd. -- #9 UK Hoops defeated #12 Notre Dame, 81-76 in Memorial Coliseum Sunday afternoon.  Kentucky dominated through most of the game and fought off a late comeback by those Fighting Irish women to seal the deal.  Victoria Dunlap showed why she is an All-America by scoring 24 points and grabbing 14 rebounds.  Bernisha Pinkett and Keyla Snowden added 17 each in the win. WE! CAN! HEAR! YOU! NOW! AHHHHHHHH! -- Kentucky picked up a football commitment over the weekend when Eric Dixon, a three-star defensive back from Alabama, gave his verbal to play for the Cats. Dixon had offers from Louisiana-Lafayette, Louisiana Tech, Louisville, South Alabama, Notre Dame, and Florida State.  Rivals.com's 57th ranked cornerback is the sixth defensive back to join Kentucky's 2011 class.  I'd say it's time to switch focus to that front seven. -- Harrison Barnes, the greatest player to ever touch a basketball in the Anno Domini era, could not be stopped as he scored an incredible 11 points in North Carolina's 72-65 loss to Vanderbilt in the Puerto-Rico Tipoff Tournament. The loss is North Carolina's second in a row after Tubby's Golden Gophers defeated the Tar Heels 72-67 in a game where Harrison Barnes shot 0-12 from the field.  Vanderbilt moves to 3-1 on the season with the win.  It certainly didn't take long for UNC to prove all of the haters right.  How does a team lose 17 games in one year and starts the very next season with a #8 preseason ranking?  Oh yeah, that's right - they signed Harrison Barnes, a preseason All-American and the greatest basketball player to ever wear shoes.  I hope UNC loses out. -- Josh Selby will sit nine games.  Nine. Games. -- If you watched the Bengals-Bills game Sunday, you were at Paul Brown Stadium wasting money on a team you should've quit following 20 years ago and you saw a receiver get loose.  That receiver was Stevie "Fly Guy" Johnson.  Steve Johnson caught eight passes for 137 yards and three touchdowns.  The best part (other than watching Cincinnati fail miserably) was when Stevie celebrated his first score by lifting his jersey to show "Why So Serious?" written on his undershirt.  Take that, Batman and Robin.  Cincinnati blew a 21 point lead in the loss, which isn't surprising at all because no one circles the wagons like the Buffalo Bills.  And, no one s---- the bed like the Cincinnati Bengals. -- Cam Newton may or may not have accepted money during his recruitment. -- In the NBA, John Wall missed his fourth consecutive game for the Washington Wizards with an ankle injury.  Kirk Heinrich is filling Wall's Zig Slashes while he's out.  Eric Bledsoe has seen a drop in minutes with Randy Foye back in the lineup for the Clippers.  Demarcus Cousins is coming off the bench for Sacramento and had a poor shooting performance Sunday night against the Hornets.
