If and when the NBA does find a way to not cancel the 2019-20 season, the best basketball product in the world could be heading to the city of Louisville. According to Marc Berman of the New York Post, the NBA has held "internal talks" that involved Louisville hosting the entirety of the NBA playoffs. https://twitter.com/NYPost_Berman/status/1244974539781611520 "The obvious destination for a one-site event is UNLV in Las Vegas," Berman wrote. "which has hosted recent summer leagues with all 30 clubs. Hotels are plentiful. One destination reportedly discussed was the Bahamas. According to an NBA source, there’s also been internal talks about Orlando, Atlantic City, Hawaii and Louisville hosting the playoffs." According to Berman, the NBA is planning on conducting a one-site, fan-less, 16-team playoff where teams play anywhere from five to seven games as a runup to the actual postseason. It is also mentioned that three-game series have been in the conversation, too, and that single-elimination rounds have been deemed as a last resort. Berman notes that the best-case scenario is to begin the season in late-June/early-July with the 2020-21 season starting around Christmas. Will we see the best basketball players in the world all in Kentucky?
