This guy (Xavier Gibson) committed today to Florida State. Why do you care? Well he is a big man, with loads of athleticism, who will join the Florida State 2008 class. Sound like someone else you know?
Yes, this news could pave the way for Chris Singleton to pass on the Seminoles and join the Big Blue. He and Gibson have similar games and this may be the impetus for Chris to go ahed and pull the Big Blue trigger. However a pessimist might say that this solves Florida State's big man need and now they can sell Singleton on playing more on the perimeter, which is not where Chris's true talents lie, but it is where he sees himself on the next level. Either way, interesting news and sure to have some effect on Singleton's decision....which could come as early as next week.
