Three Kentucky Guys in the Top-20 According to Gary Parrish

Screen Shot 2016-05-20 at 10.22.06 AM We're just under a month away from the NBA Draft and starting to get an idea of where our guys are slated to go. It seems impossible that Jamal Murray will fall out of the top-5, going to either Boston or Minnesota while Skal seems to be in the 10-15 range and Ulis is in the 14-20 range. Luckily Gary Parrish put out his mock draft today and had all three guys going in the top-20. Murray is slotted at No. 3 going to Boston with Parrish saying the following: Jamal Murray, SG, Kentucky: Murray did things this season that no other Kentucky freshman who has played under John Calipari -- John Wall, Anthony Davis, Karl-Anthony Towns, etc., -- had ever done, and he'll be the latest one-and-done star to bounce from Lexington to the lottery. He's not the point guard some project him to be. But he's a terrific combo guard whose game will translate perfectly to the NBA, and he could be a big scorer for many years while helping fix Boston's 3-point-shooting issues. Although it might be Skal that has the best news from this mock draft. Parrish pretty much guarantees him going in the lottery saying: Labissiere held a workout in Chicago during the week of the combine and moved and shot well enough to remind scouts why they fell in love with him in the first place. That doesn't mean his disappointing season at Kentucky should be completely disregarded. It's a concern. But his talent and potential remains intriguing. He's going to be a lottery pick. It will be interesting to track these three going forward and call me selfish, but I do hope Jamal falls to No. 5 to pair up with Karl-Anthony Towns in Minnesota.
