Three members of the Kentucky Gymnastics team have been selected to compete at the NCAA Championships in Fort Worth, Texas from April 14-16.

Sophomore Hailey Davis, senior Cally Nixon, and junior Raena Worley will all represent the Wildcats at the individual championships.

Davis was selected to compete on the floor exercise at the national championship, an event in which she has continually shined in this season. She’s scored multiple 9.950s this season, her season and career-high on floor.

Nixon has been a major key in the Wildcats’ evolution on bars this season, hitting her career-high of 9.975 in a quad meet earlier this year. Kentucky had a historic season on bars, marking a program-high of 49.757 earlier this season, a performance in which the Miami, FL native scored a 9.950.

Nixon previously competed at the NCAA Championships on the uneven bars in her freshman year at Kentucky, her only appearance at the event.

Finally, Worley has been a consistent competitor among the top all-arounders in the country. She’s claimed the all-around title seven times this season, and 13 times in her career overall.

Most recently, Worley claimed the all-around title in the second round/first session of regional competition in the NCAA Championship Auburn Regional over Olympic gold-medalist Suni Lee. The Virginia native’s career-high all-around score of 39.750 is the fourth-highest in program history, only behind NCAA Champion Jenny Hansen.

Last year Worley was invited to compete on the vault event at NCAA Championships, finishing tied for 47th place overall.

The ‘Cats are coming off of a tough loss to both Florida and Auburn in the third round of regional competition last weekend, ending their season as a team. This season was still one to remember for the program, scoring a historic 197.750 against Auburn in their first round of NCAA competition.

The ‘Cats previously broke their program record on Senior Night against Michigan State, cementing the season as an all-timer.

The NCAA Championships begin on Thursday, April 14th at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth.
