The class of 2022 is stockpiled with talent and the Kentucky coaching staff is leaving no player unchecked.

Within the last few days, three more high school prospects have announced that they received a scholarship offer from head coach Matthew Mitchell and the Wildcats: Ayanna Thompson (6-foot-1), Kara Dunn (6-foot-0), and Lexus Bargesser (5-foot-8). Of the trio, Thompson is the lone member ranked in the espnW HoopGurlz Recruiting Rankings, coming in at No. 57 as a four-star player.

Here’s a brief breakdown of them all.

Thompson is a 6-foot-1 wing player from DeSoto High School (TX) who ESPN‘s Dan Olson described as an “Athletic hybrid-4 prospect” who can run the floor and finish in the paint. Kentucky is arguably the most high-profile program to extend her an offer outside of her home state of Texas. Howard University also reached out to her back in May. Thompson is one of 150 players who have been invited to Coach Wootten’s Basketball Camp.

Dunn is a 6-foot versatile guard from Mt. Paran Christian High School (GA) who can also slide down and play the forward position, as well. She’s recently gained a ton of notoriety on the recruiting field and is reportedly in talks with Mississippi State, according to 247 Sports, although no formal offer has come from the Bulldogs yet. Prep Girl Hoops has Dunn ranked as the 70th best player in the nation for the class of 2022.

Finally, Bargesser is a 5-foot-8 point guard from Grass Lake High School (MI) who has been racking up offers this summer. In the month of July alone, she received 14 scholarship offers and has since seen another eight, including UK, Maryland, and Louisville, come her way. As a sophomore in high school, she averaged 19.1 points, 3.7 assists, 6.9 rebounds, and 3.1 steals per game as her team went on to earn a share of the Conference Title. Bargesser was also named to her district’s First Team and an honorable mention for Michigan’s All-State team by the Associated Press.

Kentucky has now extended 30 scholarship offers to prospects out of the class of 2022, per WBBBlog.
