Time for the Storm-The-Court Debate

by:Patrick Barker01/19/10
fans-storm-court Ah, it's that time of the year again.  Every season around this time, we enter into a nation-wide debate over the merits of fans storming the court after a (relevantly) big win.  Of course, as Kentucky fans, we know to NEVER storm the court because we should ALWAYS win.  However, other schools with lower standards don't subscribe to the same schools of thought that the Big Blue Nation does.  Case in point, Indiana fans stormed the court after defeating....wait for it....that's right, Minnesota on Sunday.  Clemson fans stormed the court after beating UNC, which is fine, but not if you were actually favored to win the game.  Amateurs. I'll take a moment to say how proud I was of Kansas State fans last night.  Beating #1 at home is a great accomplishment, but they handled as they should have- by cheering "Great effort, Great effort" and "Thank you, Thank you".  But seriously, there was a chant going that said "Don't storm the court".  There were a handful of folks that did, and they were promptly booed.  Well done, other Wildcats, well done.  Look, I don't even agree with Tennessee fans storming the court after beating Kansas.
