msanchez.jpeg Sometimes news comes from the oddest places. Yesterday we found out that Michael Sanchez, a 6'8" power forward from Arkansas was not only being recruited by Kentucky, but had been offered a scholarship for the 2007 class. Tonight I talked with Sanchez's father who told me that his son had previously assumed that he was going to go to prep school and be part of the Class of 08, but now that Kentucky has offered, "he is going to have to re-evaluate things." Kentucky and Wake Forest both want him for 07 and the Wake Forest coaches came to Sanchez's hometown tonight to speak with him. According to Sanchez's father, Coach Gillispie is looking to put Sanchez on the court next year and continues to contact him since offering last Wednesday. There is much more to the Sanchez story and we will have a full update on him and more on the interview tomorrow. Plus Michael Sanchez will be joining us on the Sports Mob at 6:20 pm tomorrow.
