TOC Afternoon update
About seven minutes to go in the Championship game of this 64 team affair and Tyler Zeller's team is up 17 and looks to be heading to a title. Zeller has 16 points and has been impressive running the floor and on the offensive end. His team is well balanced (Arizona recruit joins him) and they have been a pleasure to watch. Zeller may very well be named MVP of this whole affair and he has completely made me a fan. I went from very skeptical as to how he projects at the next level to convinced that he should be one of the three or four top priorities for UK. In the Championship he has been matched up with Kenny Frease, big man recruit who very well could have committed to UK under Tubby.....and well, lets just say that if UK gets Zeller, they got the better end of the deal.....by far.
More to come later tonight, including a full tournament wrap up. Best players at the tourney I have seen are Brandon Jennings and Delvon Roe. Zeller plalyed great all weekend, Singleton was impressive (great athlete for UK to target), Osby performed below his normal capabilities outside of the first game and I am thankful UK never ended up with Carter McMasters. Good weekend all around.....
