Today On KSR: Let's win this Monday

Mondays are the absolute worst. If Mondays were a football team, they'd be the 2018 Louisville Cardinals. If Mondays were a particular football play, they'd be Lamar Jackson trying to run out the clock to set up a game-winning field goal against Kentucky and then fumbling the game away inside his own 5-yard line. If Mondays were a city, they'd be Starkville. Mondays suck. But let's take a different approach to Mondays and attack this week like Benny Snell running downhill to close out the Citrus Bowl. Today you be John Calipari and Monday will be Rick Pitino -- you own it; it can't beat you on its best day; you're a machine and it wears a scarf and moves away to another continent because no one wants to be associated with it. So let's be great today. Let's use today to get our week off to a great start by kicking this Monday's ass. If you do something great this Monday morning to show you're in beast mode, send me a tweet and we'll high-five each other and hopefully inspire others to do the same. $%#* this Monday. We're going to own it. Now here's what's happening... John Calipari will chat with the media. Before Kentucky departs for Athens later today, John Calipari will hold his pre-Georgia press conference in the Joe Craft Center to field questions about the Cats' fourth game in SEC play. You know the drill: Kentucky-Sports-Radio-dot-com will have the live stream for you to follow along, as well as a rundown of his comments. Where will the Cats be ranked this week? Kentucky should see a slight bump in the college basketball rankings this week, considering the happenings over the last week among the six teams ahead of them:

12. North Carolina -- Lost by 20 at home to unranked Louisville 13. Florida State -- Beat Miami, lost to Duke on buzzer-beater 14. Mississippi State -- Lost two in a row 15. NC State -- Lost to UNC, beat Pittsburgh 16. Ohio State -- Lost three in a row 17. Houston -- Lost to Temple, beat Wichita State 18. Kentucky -- Won two straight

The new rankings will come out right around the time you're on your lunch break. For what it's worth, CBSSports.com ranked Kentucky at No. 22 in its new Top 25 And 1 for the week. Kash Daniel is one step closer to joining the WWE. The WWE was in Lexington last night for a "WWE Live" event and the sport's biggest fan in Kentucky, Kash Daniel, was in attendance. Daniel was accompanied by teammates Logan Stenberg and Chris Oats, and it looks like they had pretty good seats for the action. [caption id="attachment_254280" align="alignnone" width="788"] (Twitter/@kamsdad0105)[/caption] The UK linebacker took several photos with fans before meeting up with some of the wrestlers backstage. One of the wrestlers, Karl Anderson, tweeted about hanging with Daniel and sent out a link to UK's Citrus Bowl video to say, "Man, if this don't #FireYouUp then maybe you ain't human babe... @WWE #TheKid was born for it." https://twitter.com/KarlAndersonWWE/status/1084683576443133953 At what point do we seriously start to worry Kash Daniel will bail on his senior season to become the next WWE star? Kentucky paid a visit to Keion Brooks yesterday. According to longtime Indiana basketball beat writer Jeff Rabjons, UK was in to see Keion Brooks for an in-home visit yesterday. The five-star small forward has been a target on Kentucky's Class of 2019 big board for a long time and the staff is making a final push as Brooks narrows his decision in the weeks ahead. He's reportedly leaning toward staying home to play for the Hoosiers but Kentucky and Michigan State are still in the fight, in addition to UCLA, North Carolina and Purdue. The new Game of Thrones trailer came out last night and is it April yet? Last night HBO treated the world to a brand new full-length Game of Thrones trailer and the official release date of the final season -- April 14. Coincidentally, I completed a re-watch of the first seven seasons yesterday so I'm ready to go. https://twitter.com/HBO/status/1084632442030444550 In other HBO news, did anyone watch the first episode of the new season of True Detective? It's on my Monday night watch-list.

Now let's carpe this diem.
