With everyone looking at that glass as half-full again this morning, the UK administration will look to capitalize on that excitement and
"discuss the status of Barnhart's contract" at a 1:30 press conference. As Matt reported earlier this week, it is believed that the meeting is to announce a new contract for the athletic director. The timing of the announcement seems a bit odd, considering Lee Todd's status as a lame duck, but it's widely known how highly the president thinks of his AD. Hopefully, his successor feels the same way. Looks like he's not going to have a choice.
You have to wonder if an extension for Calipari, which Barnhart spoke of pulicly in May, is the next order of business.
