[caption id="attachment_265295" align="alignnone" width="1920"] UT Rockets[/caption] Kentucky's season-opening opponent is no joke. This week the MAC announced its preseason football poll. The Toledo Rockets were picked to finish first in the MAC's west division. Only Ohio University received more votes to win the conference title. This does not come as a surprise. Last year the Rockets finished tied for second in their division with a 5-3 conference record. They finished the year 7-6 after falling to FIU by just three points in the Bahamas Bowl. Toledo returns 14 starters from last year's team, including running back Bryant Koback. After starting his career at Kentucky, the Springfield, Ohio native rushed for 917 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2018, the second-most rushing scores in the conference. Kentucky is favored in the early lines by about a 13 points over the Rockets, while ESPN's FPI gives the Cats just under a 10-point advantage. The rubber will meet the road when the two teams meet in five weeks at Kroger Field. [mobile_ad]
