Tonight and Tomorrow, Marshall County, Be There

by:Dustin Rumbaugh12/04/09
I had two tickets to the UNC game. I could be sippin' Southern Comfort out of metal flask in my inside jacket pocket following the SEC's rules to a T, watching Cal vs Roy, Wall vs too slow guard, UK vs UNC, All-time winningest program vs Annoying tag along winningest program...but I won't be. I'll be just past the Sip N' Go but not past the sign with the cow that says Huckerson's Farm because Idda gone too far, in a most likely humid gym watching high school basketball. If you live within spittin' distance of Marshall County and I don't see you there at some point...well just know that I no longer consider you a friend. Here's the complete schedule (with players of interest in parentheses) for those as dedicated as myself (high-horse dismount):

Friday Grace Prep Academy vs. Our Saviour New American 4 pm CST (2012 5star C Isaiah Austin) Marshall County vs. McLean County (girls) 5:30 pm CST Christian County vs. Bellville Althoff 7 pm CST South Laurel vs. Bowman Academy 8:30 pm CST (2012 IN top prospect DeJuan Marrero) Findlay Prep vs. Christ School 10 p.m. CST (Nick Johnson, Winston Shepard, Cory Joseph, entire roster)

Saturday Paducah Tilghman vs. Perry County Central 12 p.m. CST Lexington Catholic vs. Warren Central 1:30 p.m. CST (Jaylen Beckham) Hopkinsville vs. Jeffersontown 3 p.m. CST (One of 2012's top KY kids Desmond Dorsey) Christ School vs. Grace Prep 4:30 p.m. CST (Tony Kimbro, Marshall Plumlee/2012 5star C Isaiah Austin) Holmes vs. Bowman Academy 6:30 p.m. CST (Ky State Champs Holmes/2012 IN top prospect DeJuan Marrero) Oak Hill Academy vs. Jackson Calloway 8 p.m. CST (Doron Lamb, entire roster/Deville Smith) Findlay Prep vs. New American 9:30 p.m. CST (Nick Johnson, Winston Shepard, Cory Joseph, entire roster) If you can't make them all, at least try to make the highlighted games. The kids in bold and pictured above are the big time UK targets in attendance.
