Top Point Guard in Class of 2012 chooses Dirty Cards

Clearly that whole Porcinis thing hasn't hurt Rick Pitino too bad, as the top rated point guard in the class of 2012, Rodney Purvis, committed to the Cards last night.  It will mark the first class in 6 seasons that John Calipari has not pulled in the top PG in the class (Rose, Evans, Wall, Knight, Teague).  The Raleigh guard had other offers from Virginia Tech, Duke, Xavier, and Wake Forest.  Kentucky and North Carolina also recruited Purvis. On his Twitter account, Purvis was asked why he did not choose Kentucky.  He responded that UK did not recruit him hard enough.  There is a "that's what she said" joke in there somewhere, but I will leave that to Drew Franklin. Looks likes Kentucky will now look towards the 2nd ranked point guard in the class, LJ Rose, who ironically enough, is currently in Lexington right now on a visit.  While I would never say losing the top player to the Cards makes me excited, I love the fact that UL is starting to recruit at a high level again.  Will make beating them on a yearly basis feel even better than beating that 2nd rate team they put on the floor last year.
