Trae Young Shines as Mokan Elite Wins Peach Jam

by:Bobby Reagan07/10/16
After making a 20-point comeback a day earlier, the PSA Cardinals couldn't do it again in the Peach Jam Finals. Mokan Elite beat PSA 93-65. After a close couple of first minutes, Mokan went on a run that just opened the game up completely. The catalyst to that run was Trae Young, who is a Kentucky recruit and as Matt tweeted out during the game someone 'Calipari must go get now.' During halftime though, ESPN had their recruiting guys talking about the players and Adam Finklestein believes Young will stay home and go to Oklahoma. Young finished with 28 points while hitting 6 shots from behind the arc. The play of the game though came from Michael Porter Jr., who hit a shot from beyond halfcourt to end the first half. Porter impressed me throughout the week as a dominant player and it's unfortunate he'll be playing for Washington in college. First off, those games start so late it's tough to stay up for and second because the kid has everything to be a star. This picture was tweeted out by Adam Zagoria and as you can see the gym was packed for the championship game. Can you spot Cal and crew?   IMG_2372
