Trae Young tweets his excitement following Coach Cal visit

by:Kelsey Mattingly09/11/16
trae-young-cal In light of a dismal Sunday for Kentucky football fans, here is some welcome news pertaining to another Kentucky sport. Coach Calipari visited five-star point guard Trae Young in Oklahoma yesterday afternoon. Friday, Young met with the head coaches from Kansas and Oklahoma State at his home. Calipari dedicated his Saturday to only visiting Young, which makes sense considering his home-state Oklahoma is looking like Kentucky's top competition in Young's recruiting. But that isn't putting a damper on Kentucky's pursuit and Young is giving BBN something to hope for. Following his visit with Cal, Young tweeted his thoughts on the day. At 6-foot-2, Young is Kentucky's priority point guard target in the 2017 class, where he is ranked third according to Scout.com. Young will make is official visit to UK next month for Big Blue Madness, so let's do what we do best and make him feel like he's at home! Continuing with Calipari's recruiting trail, he is in the Las Vegas area today to visit five-star forward P.J. Washington, also in the 2017 class.
