Not even a month after announcing he would transfer from Syracuse to Kentucky, Taj Harris has decided to reopen his recruitment.

Harris, who registered over 2,000 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns during his time with Syracuse, announced the news through Twitter on Sunday morning. The 6-foot-2 redshirt-junior pass-catcher committed to Kentucky back on Nov. 6, just days after taking an official visit to Lexington.

Harris was also considering Ole Miss before choosing the ‘Cats and will still have two years of eligibility left. However, there were rumblings concerning whether or not Harris would even be academically eligible to play for Kentucky. Considering he is one of the Orange’s all-time great wide receivers, he would have provided significant help on the outside for quarterback Will Levis and offensive coordinator Liam Coen.

Four-star class of 2022 wide receiver from Corbin, Treyveon Longmire, recently announced his commitment from UK, as well.

Kentucky has been linked to other transfer wide receivers such as Louisville’s Jordan Watkins and Virginia Tech’s Tayvion Robinson, so there will be other options out there. More will surely put their name in the transfer portal.

Bets of luck to Taj wherever he lands next!
