Smdreads With the NFL Draft just two days away, we'll be the first to admit that we haven't been doing a Pulitzer-worthy job of covering Danny Trevathan's path to get there. That's our bad. We blame New Orleans, Atlanta, New Orleans again, Coach Cal, burning couches, Anthony Davis, and the Final Four for hogging all of our attention. It happens. But now that we're settled back in at the KSR office and catching up on life outside of Kentucky basketball, we stumbled across a little tidbit from Trevathan's pre-draft workout routine that really has us baffled. Trevathan has spent time with Brett Favre. The former UK linebacker signed with Bus Cook, a name you're very familiar with if you watched ESPN during Favre's retirement days, and he has split time between Florida and Cook's hometown of Hattiesburg, Mississippi. Cook, who is Favre's agent, for some reason or another introduced Trevathan to Favre during one of the former UK linebacker's visits to Mississippi. We can only hope he introduced him to the cajun enchilada at Crescent City Grill, too. I wish we had more to this story -- like Trevathan playing backyard football in Wranglers or duck hunting on Favre's farm -- but all we really know is that Trevathan and Favre have been spending time together as he prepares for the NFL Draft. That's random enough for me. Go Cats.
