Conrad, Greg Hart and Justin Rigg's concentration through the end of camp has been great. Eddie Gran said his tight ends have been spectacular through camp, which makes him very excited. Offense Did Not Throw and Catch on Third Down After watching film from Saturday's scrimmage, Gran was not pleased with the offense on third down. "You looked at the first one and we had competitive catches that we made. Identical plays, identical throws. We made them on the first one, didn't the second," Gran said. Drew Barker Has a Voice Gran will let Drew Barker have a little say in the offense. "I'll text him on a Thursday night and say give me your top ten. That way I know when crud's hitting the fan, I know what he's comfortable with," Gran said. Barker already has those plays in his mind. "We've already been talking about that some of that stuff with Coach Hinshaw in quarterback meetings. Just going over film and, you know, what we think we're best and what will work in a game," Barker said. Barker Thinks This Camp Was Most Consistent Through camp, the team realized they can be consistent. Barker said this is the most consistent camp he's had while at Kentucky. "I don't think we really had a bad day, maybe one. If that, we bounce back right after the next practice," Barker said. Now the team has to carry this consistency to Saturdays. Garret Johnson Has Improved This Summer After spring ball, Johnson said he wasn't comfortable with the offense and even felt a little lost. The difference in Johnson this camp is "night and day." "He's playing faster. Making plays. Exactly what we needed," Gran said. Johnson was one of the players that the offense needed to get better this summer and he did just that. Johnson put in the extra hours and has earned everything he has. Personnel Will Be Decided in the Next 48 Hours Now that camp is over, it is time for the coaches to decide which true freshman will play. The coaches will meet with the special team coordinator see what players are needed.
