After such a big announcement yesterday, Coach Phillips was surprised to see about the same amount of media members in attendance for the final day of training camp. Even though the practice was cut short due to weather, there was still plenty going on in the world of Kentucky Football. -Initially, Coach Phillips said RB Josh Clemons had a knee scope procedure that would keep him out for about ten days. But, after talking more with the training staff, Clemons has some "loose stuff" in his knee and there's no timetable for his return. -For a spot that was one of the deepest at the beginning of summer, Kentucky's running back position has taken a hit to its depth. Along with Clemons, RB Coshik Williams (knee sprain) has been held out of practice for the past couple of days. Phillips said that Williams did some running yesterday, though, and should be ready to go by Thursday. -In a possible slip of the tongue, LB Avery Williamson says that LB Tyler Brause has surpassed LB Malcolm McDuffen for the starting Weakside lineback spot. -Williamson says that having Mister Cobble, Donte Rumph, Collins Ukwu, and Taylor Wyndham in front of him makes his job that much easier. He called them "monsters" upfront. -With so much turnover from last year, special teams could be a concern for the team going into the season. When asked who would be the starting punter against Louisville, Phillips said that he would decide one closer to game day. Look for freshman K/P Landon Foster to man the position. -Joker is most concerned directional punting with the guys that are competing for the job. He says "that's the name of the game". -Phillips thinks that K Craig "Auto" McIntosh's distance is about 55 yards. When describing McIntosh, Phillips used the word "consistent" in just about every sentence, exactly what you want to hear about your starting kicker. -Martavius Neloms thinks that his transition from safety back to corner is going well. He says still trying to get used to covering wide receivers on every down. -Neloms says that the defense will start film study of Louisville's offense on Thursday. Twelve days...
