Two future UK Hoops players named McDonald's All-Americans

The Kentucky men's basketball program isn't the only team stocking up on McDonald's All-Americans for next season in Lexington. Matthew Mitchell's UK Hoops team had two future players named as McDonald's All-Americans today as well. Linnae Harper and Makayla Epps will both join Kentucky next season, and will also both play in the all-star game. Harper and Epps will be the 6th and 7th players in the history of UK Hoops to be named McDonald's All-Americans. In case you hadn't heard, point guard Linnae Harper is a 5-star prospect ranked as the 5th best player in the country. She is the highest ranked player that Matthew Mitchell has ever recruited to Kentucky. Marion County's Makayla Epps, the daughter of former UK guard Anthony Epps, is ranked as the 37th best player in the 2013 class. Epps was originally committed to Louisville, but changed her mind late last summer. This year's UK Hoops team is currently ranked in the top 10 in the country following a second elite 8 appearance in the last 3 years. Matthew Mitchell is not only getting it done on the court, but he's bringing in a caliber of player unlike anything the program has seen before. When Kentucky takes the court next season, the following 7 former McDonald's All-Americans will all be suiting up together: Samarie Walker, Denesha Stallworth, Jenn O'Neill, Bria Goss, Janee Thompson, Makayla Epps and Linnae Harper. Seven McDonald's All-Americans. Yikes.
