Earlier today Tyler told you Mizzou might be without their best defensive player against Kentucky.  Tonight Barry Odom confirmed linebacker Mike Scherer and defensive lineman Terry Beckner Jr. have ACL injuries will miss the rest of the season. Scherer is the heart and soul of the defense, leading the Tigers in tackles with 53.  He's also accounted for 3.5 tackles for loss, .5 sack and an interception.  Beckner is a sophomore defensive tackle with 24 tackles, 2 for loss and a fumble recovery.  Beckner's injury is one of many hits their defensive line has taken this season.  Nate Crawford chose to retire before the season due to multiple injuries. Harold Brantley and last year's sack-leader Walter Brady were dismissed before the season for violating team rules. Missouri's defense has struggled all season and these two losses will not help.  They're ranked last in the SEC in total defense, allowing 458.9 yards per game.
