Another day, another 40-point performance from Tyler Herro. The future Kentucky guard scored 42 points in Whitnall’s loss to Brown Deer last night, his sixth 40-point game of the season.

Herro was 15-36 from the floor and 7-15 from three-point range. Twenty-two of his points came in the second half, nine in the final 67 seconds, but it wasn’t enough to get the win. Regardless, he’s been on an absolute tear lately, scoring 30+ points in the last six games. Last Tuesday, he scored 37 points in only 20 minutes:

Last week, Herro earned a fifth star from ESPN and was named to the Nike Hoop Summit after being not making the McDonald’s All-American Game the week before. As expected, he continues to use that snub as fuel to get better.
