Make it four straight for TyTy Washington as the league’s best rookie.

Today, the Southeastern Conference announced Washington as this week’s Co-SEC Freshman of the Week, again in a split-decision with Auburn standout Jabari Smith. Washington averaged 21.5 points and 4.5 assists in wins at Vanderbilt and against Tennessee, the latter a career-high 28-point performance. His counterpart, Smith, averaged 20 points for Auburn in wins at Alabama and Ole Miss. Washington and Smith were co-recipients of the award two Mondays ago.

For Washington, this week’s honor is the fourth consecutive SEC Freshman or Co-Freshman of the Week award, marking the first time since the 2014-15 season a freshman won four straight. That freshman? Kentucky’s Devin Booker, who won SEC F.O.T.W. five times in 2014-15. Washington has won it fives times already this season.

The SEC’s Player of the Week award went to Mississippi State’s Iverson Molinar for his breakout week with games of 28 and 24 points in wins over Georgia and Alabama.
