U.S. Open Saturday Night News and Views

  Tiger Woods Is it just me or is golf just as exciting, if not more, now that Tiger Woods is blowing up round after round?  Tiger, a 3-time U.S. Open Champion, missed the cut after shooting 16 over par on Thursday and Friday.  The course at Chambers Bay has proven to be extremely tough and some golf fans are complaining that the course is too difficult.  However, as someone who is so bad at golf that I simply quit playing, I find it somewhat refreshing watching professionals struggle to this extent.  Today, Jason Day battled vertigo symptoms throughout his round but still has a share of the lead at -4 along with Dustin Johnson, Branden Grace, and Master's champ Jordan Speith.  In other UK related news, former Wildcat J.B. Holmes is just 3 strokes back of the leaders!  Tune in on Championship Sunday to watch J.B. make his run at the U.S. Open championship!  On to the news and views! Towns, Cauley-Stein, Lyles, and Booker Invited to the NBA Draft Kentucky's four potential lottery picks will be in attendance when NBA Commissioner Adam Silver calls their names.  The NBA invited at least 20 players to the draft so about 20% of those attending with be former Wildcat stars. Karl Towns Wants to Win a NBA Championship       [caption id="attachment_175485" align="alignright" width="300"]Athlon Sports Athlon Sports[/caption] The likely number one pick in the upcoming NBA Draft sat down for yet another interview, this time with Morgan Wolf from CBS Sports.  Towns talked about his goal of winning a NBA championship and how his time at Kentucky prepared him for the league. In other Karl-Anthony Towns News... KAT worked out for the Minnesota Timberwolves who hold the top pick in the draft.  All signs point to the T-Wolves selecting the Kentucky star, especially now that he will not be working out for the LA Lakers. Randall Cobb Shares His Take on the Final Four Former 'Cat star, and current Green Bay Packer, Randall Cobb spoke with postcresent.com about UK's season and their run to the Final Four.  While UK went down to his now home-state Wisconsin Badgers, Cobb was rooting for the Wildcats.  You can read the entire interview here.
