Ramsey is a 6'7 pitcher and first baseman from Tonka Bay, Minnesota. The future Cat was previously committed to Oregon. Ramsey has been clocked on the mound with a fastball topping out at just over 90 MPH. Earlier this month, Ramsey won the Minnesota Home Run Derby competition, by hitting 14. When asked about him, his high school coach described him as:
Jimmy Ramsey is a coach’s dream.  He is 6’7” tall and weighs 210lbs.  He runs very well.  He hits from the “LEFT” side–with power.  Plays First Base, Outfield, and is a Right Handed Pitcher that throws 90+!  What is not to like???!!  The greatest thing that Jimmy does is that fact he still mixes with all his teammates at Minnetonka High School.  Jimmy is running in the land of the BIG DOGS right now.  But, still hangs with the rest of the litter back home whenever possible.  Jimmy is going to have a career in baseball that exceeds most players. Like I said….. “A Coach’s Dream”!
In case you aren't already sold on Ramsey, he has partnered with a charity called, "Home Runs that Help." The charity connects baseball player's to local baseball fans who are suffering from a life-threatening medical condition, disability or special need. https://twitter.com/J_Ramsey13/status/879053436167348224 You can watch the future Cat below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lyzfC7YuIWM Welcome to the Big Blue Nation, Jimmy Ramsey!
