UK Baseball still in play for a national seed; Game 1 of SEC title showdown on ESPN tomorrow night

Starting tomorrow, the sixth ranked UK Baseball team will take on No. 5 Florida in Gainesville for the SEC regular season championship, a title UK has only won once in the 82 seasons since the league was founded in 1933. The series is so big that ESPN will air the first game live at 7 p.m. tomorrow night (Friday's will be on the SEC Network, Saturday's SEC Network+).
A SEC regular season title would be huge for the program, especially in Nick Mingione's first year, but it could also help them secure a national seed, which would mean hosting a regional. D1Baseball.com currently has the Cats in as the sixth #1-seed, playing host to Kent State, Florida State, and Indiana:

Take out Stanford and Clemson and insert LSU and Kentucky. Obviously, the SEC getting two more national seeds might surprise some people, but both the Tigers and Wildcats have a whopping 18 wins vs. RPI Top 50 teams, while they have other strong metrics, such as strong non-conference schedules, conference records, and the trend for both of these teams is headed a positive direction.Excellent.
