Today's fan of the day posed with two UK basketball legends at what appears to be a Kroger. He'll remember that day forever. --- Whether you're a Democrat, Republican, or someone who doesn't care about either (*raises hand*), the embarrassing report from the state on Richie Farmer's tenure has to be upsetting. Yes, you can argue that many politicians are corrupt, but for a statewide basketball hero to have a 150-page report full of corruption is sad, troubling, and disgraceful. This is now Richie Farmer's legacy in Kentucky. What a shame. --- In basketball recruiting, the news on Anthony Bennett is there is no news on Anthony Bennett. The wait continues... --- As Bennett does whatever it is he is doing while waiting to take his visits, Kentucky fans are wondering if Calipari should turn up the heat on Amile Jefferson. The continuous delays in his recruitment make it appear that Jefferson is interested in UK and he's just waiting to see what Bennett does, but he can't wait forever. So what happens if Jefferson pulls the trigger on Duke and then Bennett chooses Florida? Kentucky would come up empty-handed -- and they can't afford to have that happen. On the other hand, taking Jefferson first would knock Kentucky out of the picture for Bennett. I'll sit back and trust however Calipari plays his cards in this one, like always. --- 2013 wing Troy Williams will announce his decision this week. He told Evan Daniels that he is still 50/50 between Kentucky and North Carolina. --- Nerlens Noel's popularity is growing more and more every single day on Twitter, and today's Jay Bilas tribute is one of the many reasons why. Nerlens tweeted: --- In a press conference to introduce his new staff today, Rick Pitino announced that he is no different than the rest of us, in that he doesn't read newspapers anymore. "I've been so upset with the Courier-Journal for so many years now, I don't even read their newspaper," Pitino said. He did not, however, comment on blogs in the most ridiculous manner possible. --- The Boston Celtics are still awaiting a decision from the league on Rajon Rondo's punishment. Rondo bumped an official after a call he disagreed with late in last night's loss to Atlanta. If you recall, Magic Johnson was suspended three games for a similar bump on an official in 1996. If Rondo's punishment is similar, it'll be tough for the Celtics to win their first round series against the Hawks. That could mean the end of this Celtics team as we know it. --- Matt and Ryan talked about the future of the UK/IU basketball series and basketball recruiting on this morning's radio show. Have a listen...
