birthday Someone above turns 25 today...she also used to play basketball for Kentucky, is a women's high school basketball coach and a KSR favorite. Happy Birthday old maid... --- The fans of all three schools are confident they will get Terrence Jones. Washington fans are sure he will stay close to home. Kansas fans think they have snuck in to steal him and Kentucky folks are relying on Vaught for happiness. It is a race that will go down to the wire and will be more entertaining (and less rainy) than the Kentucky Derby. I expect word to leak out tonight at some point...we shall see. --- Speaking of tonight, I will be at the Barnstorming Event at Newport High School at 7 pm. The guys have done a great job of producing a quality group of players with the Seniors, Patrick Patterson, Ramel Bradley, Woo and Jared Lorenzen all in attendance. I am told there is also a possibility of a special guest that could get fans pretty excited. Make sure and come out and see what should be a great night. If you see me, come say hi and we will have pictures on the site and on Twitter tonight (our account is here). --- I was shocked to read the news that Derrick Miller's name was really Derrick Millar. Apparently the early 90s star who is now in trouble for ticket selling had his name spelled wrong on birth certificates and early school records and then stayed with it. But it was actually Millar, as we learned through his recent court appearances. In other news, we found out one of our writers is actually Beisnar. --- The new Rivals.com Rankings are out and the final UK players (and potential players) have their rankings as follows: Enes Kanter 3 Brandon Knight 6 Terrence Jones 13 Doron Lamb 21 Stacey Poole 33 Marcus Thornton 121 --- In other news of the rankings Rivals has Josh Selby as the #1 overall player, a bit of a surprise to me, but not a shock. He is probably the most talented player in the class, but I would have put Harrison Barnes there. He is the most well-rounded and college/NBA ready. Kyrie Irving was fourth, followed by Jared Sullinger. Other former UK targets: Cory Joseph 8 Will Barton 12 CJ Leslie 14 Dominique Ferguson 46 Terrence Ross 48 KC Ross-Miller 147 More later on this great day...come to Newport!
